In June of 2009, Sam Werner was diagnosed with leukemia. Currently he is in the process of treatment in Boise.

August 1st, 2009, there was a huge benefit yard sale to raise support for Sam and his family. The yard sale was a big success, and the Werner family would like to thank everyone that helped through setting things up, donations, and other support.

August 15th, 2009, was the "Saving Sam Summer Jam" event at the Union County Fairgrounds. We would like to thank everyone that came out to the event and showed your support for Sam.
